    Sansevieria plant potted in modern windowsill planter. This plant can deal with AC/Heat issue through out the year & thrive on any window.

    Botanical name: Sansevieria Trifasciata.

    Planter: Built in sub-irrigation system (water your plant 3 times less often in comparison to regular pots). Made by Lechuza in Germany, shatterproof, 100% recyclable plastic.

    HOW DOES SELF-WATERING WORK?
    • Fill up the water reservoir. Your plant will drink as much water as it needs.
    • Test the soil when the reservoir is empty. If the soil is dry, refill the reservoir.
    • The reservoir provides enough water supply for 2 - 8 weeks, depending on planter size and plant type.

    NOTE: Large plants require watering through the soil for the first 12 weeks of the growing-in phase before the reservoir can be used. Detailed instructions for each plant arrangement are provided.

    Our plant delivery area: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Jersey City, Union City, Edgewater, Weehawken, West New York, Guttenberg, Hoboken & Fort Lee

    Delivery days & time: Tuesdays, Wednesdays between 7 am and 6 pm; Saturdays between 7 am and 3 pm.

    Plant orders must be placed at least 2 business days prior.

    Rarely, requested delivery date needs to be changed due to stock availability or temporary weather conditions. In this case, we will contact you to re-schedule the delivery.

    To make sure to keep you and our delivery team safe, we will not deliver plants inside of your apartment/office.

    All deliveries will be left at the lobby with the doorman or at the delivery designated area in your building.

    How  planters with sub-irrigation system work?

    Fill up water reservoir. Your plant will drink as much water as it needs.

    1. Planter has a water reservoir.
    2. Water level indicator shows if the water reservoir is full or empty.
    3. Water reservoir separated from the soil.
    4. Special subtract at the bottom of the liner provides drainage, absorbs water, and slowly releases it to the soil.
    5. Plant is in total control of water intake. Plant roots slowly absorb as much water as they need.
    6. Reservoir provides enough water supply for 2 - 8 weeks, depending on planter size.
    How to water plants in Lechuza planters

    For the first 12 weeks after receiving your potted plant in Lechuza self-watering planter water the plant as you normally would, pouring water onto it from above.

    Once the growing-in phase is complete and plants roots have acclimated after repotting, you can start using self-watering feature. Watch our video for more information about how to water plants in Lechuza planters.

    How to treat customers

    After writing a somewhat negative review because the plant I received wasn't in the best condition, My City Plants contacted me and replaced the original purchase. The new plant is in a mint condition. I would recommend this company to anyone. I would not be able to buy a plant from anyone else anymore.     Leaves started rotting and turning yellow really fast--in less than 1 week of getting plant

    Thank you for your feedback. I wish you have contacted us as soon as you have noticed these signs on your plant(s) - Snake plant and/or Bamboo palm.
    We are always available to answer questions and help you with any issue plant(s) might have.
    Please understand that plants are going through an acclimation period after being delivered, and sometimes it is a tough one especially for the Bamboo palm. This plant loves humidity but as we all know the air is so dry in our apartments due to Heat/AC.
